IMC Awarded Design-Build of Cheer Central Suns Lafayette, CO Campus
May 7, 2015This project consists of Design-Build of a new pre-engineered metal building for a local cheerleading company. The use of the facility will be training cheerleaders for competition. The building is 115′ deep by 135′ wide. There is also an admin area inside the building that will be approximately 25′-4″‘ wide by 44” deep. The main floor of the office area consists of male and female bathrooms and a single open area for parents to wait for their children. In addition to this waiting area there is a single staircase going up to a mezzanine that will house mechanical rooms and provide for additional waiting area. The interior of the gym is designed as an insulated warehouse style building with a single line of columns to support the structure going down the middle of the building. There is also a small area, 24′ by 26′ that is recessed into the gym floor to house trampoline or foam pit. Exterior finishes will consist of a 4’ ecostone style stone veneer and insulated metal panels for the siding. Natural lighting is provided through translucent wall panels on the exterior of the front and back side to provide day lighting into the gym. The gym will be fully sprinkled with a wet-pipe fire suppression system. Site construction consists of all grading and utilities as well as asphalt parking and concrete sidewalks.
